I'm so glad you're all okay! I was worrying about you the past two weeks when I was on vacation and had so internet. And they kept showing all these freaky picture of total devestation on the news, and that made me worry more... but I'm glad ye're all fine. We got the tail end of Charley in New Jersey, but by then it was just rain.

Leo, nice to see you are back and... alive.. *hands a half a million tartan scones* Mari, can't wait to have you back! Along with Mip... *pokes at Mip* As for my own awayness, I still am not certain. We most likely will not evacuate. It's not exactly the greatest time for us to be traveling. And if you still have no idea why I would be leaving, here's a hint: Fran is coming to Florida! Or should I call 'im by his formal name, Francis. Yes, that's right folks, Florida is getting pounded with yet another hurricane! God's Wrath I say. And if you want to know what I'm talking about by God's Wrath, then ask me for a certain scripture in Luke that I have been meaning to post on Signs of the Coming of the Age, I refuse to talk about it here.. because, I can. Well, anyhow. We might be out of power. They say Francis is going south of where I live, north of where Mip and Leo lives. And they say its going to slow down to 105 mph wind speed. But then again, they said Charley was going to go through Tampa.. and lookie now! Not to mention, the Bahamas don't seem like they would slow it down that much... Cuba did nothing to Charley. ALSO, you have to take in the fact that Charley was a fast moving storm. They're saying this storm will be in Florida for a whole 24 hours, so they COULD be right. Believe what you want to believe. I'll see ya whenever I see ya. *waves*

Well, I'm not worried. The thing is traveling 5 miles per hour. FIVE! You could outrun the thing! If I lived on the coast, yes, I'd be a bit worried, but I live smack dab in the middle of Florida. The most we'll get here is 35 mph winds and a little rain. They keep saying the hurricane is the size of Texas. Yeah, right! Maybe the clouds all around it are that size, but when they show that radar and it's this giant thing, those clouds around it are the exact same type of clouds in your backyard right now if it's a nice, sunny day. Pfff! Maybe there will be a gust or two that goes to 70mph. But that's it! Look how slow the thing is moving. But, the people on the coast will get the hit. As for me, it's nothing to worry about.
As for Charley. Charley was still a Category 1 when it exited Florida. That's bad! Frances is nothing compared to Charley! Charley was bad... just plain bad.
Well, we still might get the power knocked out. There are lots of trees around here and such. But someone just needs to kick 'er and make 'er go faster! *kicks Fran(ces)*

Yo.
Actually, a 5 mph hurricane is absolutely NOTHING to laugh about. That thing can cause more damage than Charley did - fortunately, it doesn't seem like it will, so that is good. ^^ Remember, Andrew was a v. slow moving hurricane...
Anywho, I only have limited net access since I moved... I should be back near hobbit day. Man, it feels nice to be able to post again. *grins*
Eleven days without power... wonder I could survive... very long letters help. *grins and hugs everyone*

Well, Frances could do some damage. To those right under it. We had a tree branch or two fall. Power out for five days because the power people were slow and couldn't finish a block down.
And Frances is still not the worst of it! Now there's Ivan.. *stabs Ivan* bloody hurricanes. God must be real mad at the people in Florida. Not only Florida. Up in Pennsylvania, they're getting bad floods, I believe, from Frances.
Well, I think Ivan is going to surprise us all personally. And I believe I mentioned to Mari that I thought there was going to be another hurricane before it was all said and done with. And that was when Ivan was still a measly little tropical depression and I didn't even know about it.
Oh, yes. Well, I'm back! *waves* yes, obvious, wasn't it?
