Here are a few basic guidelines...trust me, they shall be enforced.
•Please try to make all your posts at least two paragraphs long, with a minimum of about two sentences per paragraph. This will help make the plot move along a bit smoother.
•Chatspeak or 'l33t' is not allowed. There is a thing called grammar, and we'd like to see to it, that it is used when posting on any RPG here at Rivendell. We firmly frown down upon this sort of erosion of the English language. It is preferred that you spell check your posts beforehand. Or else...that means.. NO CHATSPEAK!
•If, after a two week [or longer] period, you have not posted in an RPG, we will be forced to remove you from the game, unless the other players are well informed of your absence.
•Keep on topic, and interact with your fellow Roleplayers.
•Safety saves should be kept to a minimum, and filled within a 24 to 48 hour period. If you cannot do this, do not safety save as it holds up the progression of a game.
•Stick the the time period. Refrain from jumping ahead in time unless there is a mutual agreement from all participants of a game.
•No sue-dom, eh? It's not Tolkien-related, but let's face it..in real life, no one is perfect - so don't try to make your character perfect. The flaws of your character are what make it interesting for others to interact with you in a game.
*Please note that inn's are not a place to fool around. They are there to help improve one's roleplaying skills and to refine them for actual games, but are roleplaying games in their own respect. Inn's can and most likely will determine whether you are cut out for a part in an actual RPG.
