We have a "Favourite Quotes" thread for the books but not for the movies so presto! Here is one! I shared these in the books thread before I realized it was for the books. ;D "I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. This day we fight!" -Aragorn, ROTK "Become who you were born to be." -Elrond, ROTK

well.. I love the screams... Pippin's holler when the firework is set off, Pippin's scream when he sees he has climbed a tree with eyes (we shall call the tree "Treebeard"), Pippin's scream when the horse almost runs him over (pattern here?) and Aragorn's scream when he see the corpses of the orcs in a burning pile. from FoTR I like "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future." --Galadriel and a whole bunch more.. I'll share them over time from TTT I like "The fires is Isengard will spread, and the woods of Tuckborough and Buckland will burn. And...and all that was once green and good in this world will be gone. There won't be a Shire, Pippin" --Merry and from RoTK I like "Is there any hope left, Gandalf? For Frodo and Sam?" --Pippin

Oh I love all of those Mippin!
In FOTR.....
"I would rather share one life time with you then face all the ages of this world alone. I chose a mortal life."
-Arwen
"You cannot pass! I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. The Dark Fire will avail you flame of Udun! Go back to the shadow! You shall not pass!"
-Gandalf
"Go back Sam! I'm going to Mordor alone."
"Of course you are, and I'm coming with you!"
-Frodo and Sam
I'll be back with more.

i LOVE Sams speach: "its like in the great stories Mr Frodo, the ones that really mattered full fo darkness and danger they where and sometimes you didnt want to know the end cause how could the end be happy, how could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happend, but in the end its only a pasing thing the shadow even darkness must pass, a new day will come and when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer those are the stories that stay with you they meant something even if you where to small to understand why, but i think Mr Frodo I do understand I know now, folk in those stories had lots of chances of turing back, only they didnt they kept going because they where holding on to something "what are we holding on to Sam?" that there is some good in this world and its worth fighting for..." thats so sweet and the way they have it showing all the ppl and the battles and everything they are in makes it even better I think...O i also love to one Mippin said about merry talking to Pippin and how he is realising that this isnt just a game that he could die and never see the shire agian...

Those are wonderful. If Merry's scar was a quote, that'd be a favourite of mine too.
I'm too obsessed with that scar. *sheepish grin*

weird..is calling you Mrs. Took. o.O.O.o.o.O.o but..annnywho..
I like the little ent-draught thing in the EE..
Merry: You're taller! Pippin: Than what? Merry:Than me! Pippin: I've always been taller than you. Merry: No, everyone knows I'm the tall one, and you're the short one! Pippin: You're what? 3'6"? I'm pushing 3'7"! -drinks more ent-draught- 3'8"!
or..something like that..might have slipped up on something..but anywho..it was amusing to me, at least.

here is some more: "He is not coming back. Why do you linger when there is no hope?"Arwen: "There is still hope." Elrond: "If Aragorn survives this war, You will still be parted. If Sauron is defeated, and Aragorn made king and all that you hoped for comes true...you will still have to taste the bitterness of mortality. Whether by the sword or the slow decay of time, Aragorn will die. And there will be no comfort for you. No comfort to ease the pain of his passing. He will come to death. An image of the splendor of the kings of men in glory, undimmed before the breaking of the world. But you, my daughter, you will linger on in darkness and in doubt. As night falling winter has come without a star. Here you will dwell, bound to you grief, under the fading trees, until all the world has changed and the long years of your life are utterly spent. Arwen... there is nothing for you here, only death."

ill just say this in english: Aragorn: "Farmers, farriers, stable boys. These are no soldiers." Gimli: "Most have seen too many winters." Legolas: "Or too few. Look at them. They’re frightened. I can see it in their eyes."Legolas: "And they should be. 300 against 10 000.?" Aragorn: "They have a better chance defending themselfs here than in Edoras." Legolas: "Aragorn, They cannot win this fight. They are all going to die!" Aragorn: "Then I shall die as one them!"

Théoden: "Who am I, Gamling?" Gamling: "You are our king, sire." Théoden: "And do you trust your king?" Gamling: "You’re men, my lord, will follow you to whatever end." Théoden: "To whatever end. Where is the horse and the rider. Where is the horn that was blowing. They have passed like rain on the mountains. Like wind in the meadow. The days have gone down in the west. Behind the hills, into shadow. How did it come to this?"

Well..I'm not sure if this counts as a movie quote..but I did so love this verse in RotK...
Home is behind; the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread. Through shadows, to the end of night, Until the stars are all alight. Mist and shadow, cloud, and shade. Hope shall fail; all will fade.
there was also 'And this is for my old gaffer!' and so many others, but I won't list them all...
