This is very domran and very experimenty. I thought of it last night. The night before that, y'see, I talked to Mip, but she was signed in as Lëo, and I claimed that I could tell she was Mip because I recognised some of her writing style. Which got me thinking.... How could we test that? Would I, or anyone else, be able to recognise another Rivendeller's writing style without knowing who it was that was writing? And so I propose an experiment. This isn't incredibly error-proof, but it will do.
If you wish to participate, post on this thread as a guest. Don't give yourself your own name, just number yourself. In order. First person is one, then two, then three. No 111 or 3.14150265358979. That would give you away. Do nothing that gives you away. At the same time, please don't deceive us by mimicking someone else. Now, write at least two sentences about walls. That's a nice, seemingly benign topic I don't believe we've ever covered. So, walls. And make sure you don't post unless either no one else is online or several people are. For instance, right now it's just me and Lëo. If either of us posted, the other would know, just by looking at the time.... Or noticing that there's a new post and no one else is on. So this gets pretty complicated, but it could be very interesting.
Let's allow at least five people to post before we start guessing. As a matter of fact, I'll give the signal for guesses to come in. Anyone can guess, even if you didn't post. But don't tell us you didn't post! Now, let the experimentation begin! ;D

W00t! I'm number A!!
I think that walls are really Spiffy. If I were a wall, I'd be a brick wall, cuz they're all...bricky and stuff. I just noticed that this wall in front of me really reminds me of something
That wall over there *points to other wall*

Huzzah!! Number 2!
Something about walls, eh Mari? Walls are useful, especially when you don't want the ceiling to fall on your head. The walls at my school are boring (cinderblocks. urgh o.O), but I like the walls in my room a'cause they got LotR pics all over them.
I just walked into a wall today... hm...

Hmm.. What to say about walls..
Well, they are very useful. Without them, your house would collapse. And we wouldn't likes that, would we my love? No, not at all. I think walls can be very ugly, or very pretty. White walls are best, because they make a room seem wider/larger. Black walls are horrible- I was once in a room that was all black... felt very claustrophobic... *shiver*

So I'm number four. Huzzah for me. I thought I would be three, but oh well.
Walls, walls, walls. I have issues with walls, according to a word association quiz thingie. And maybe I do. Because walls are an enclosure. They hold you in. So if one extends the metaphor, walls signify loss of freedom, and being stuck somewhere you don't want to be. Maybe that's a rahter Éowyn-esque interpretation, since walls usually are taken to mean stability, solidity, and safety. But I think I do have issues with walls.
One last domran comment: Yggdrasil. Yes, the World Snake. I don't know why.

Eep. I just realised something. You admins can see the IP addresses. So I'm going to have to make you promise not to look at, recognise, and/or analyze the IP addresses for this....

Huzzah for me! 5! Heh... Walls, eh? Fascinating subject matter there. Oh yes. I like walls...they're very....wall-ish. I want padded walls, but nooooo....I can't have padded walls, can I?! Ah well.
Yeah...woo for walls.

Well, the walls in this room are white. There are a lot of marks on the wall infront of me, or rather to the side of me since I am diagonal to it. There's not much to be said for these walls. They are......walls. Boring ones at that. Alas for them.

Walls are spiffy, because they allow you to be closed off from the rest of the world. Sometimes if you look hard enough, you can see faces in the walls. I've never been able to get the faces to speak to me though, tis a pity. Anyway, walls can protect you, but they can hurt you too. If you stay behind walls too much, you will become, um, well UN LOFTY! *gasp* So beware of the Walls!

Walls. What can I say about walls? Walls are great. They're my best friends. No they aren't, I lied. But, walls are indeed... great. They've got ears hidden somewhere, but just think: without walls where would we all be? Ah yes, woo for walls.

Er... Is it time to start guessing?

I'm really surprised we got nine. That's crazy, crazy, crazy. I expected maybe five. Well, the more the Merry-er! Ha. Ha ha. Yes, anyway.... Sure, let's start! If there's anyone who didn't get a chance to take part, they can go ahead and post theirs, and we'll certainly guess them, too... But nine's a good solid number to start with. So, from the top. We'll go in order, and I think we'll wait for either five guesses or five days per post, whichever comes first. At this time the poster must step forward and identify themselves, and we'll all either gloat or be surprised. So... On to Number One! I think it's Eladain. (When we reach the post that you made, I'm not sure how to go about it. You'll be conspicuous in your absence if you guess each one but your own. But it would be rather dishonest to guess someone else when you know it was you... I suppose you'll just have to keep out of the guessing, and not guess on some of the others, too, to keep everyone off track).

I think it's Eladain, too. Are we supposed to say why?
