Someone attempted to kill him, that's what!
He is also alive! Huzzah!
What is funny and odd, though, if someone had been out as long as they made it out to seem like he was out, they would surely have suffered some severe mental damage. See, for some reason, to me, it made it seem as if he had been hung there for maybe up to an hour. And after that, one would have severe brain damage. And I don't see why they wouldn't have some damage to the chest area with all the pounding to get the heart to beat.
But then again. It's a messed up island. So it could have only been for like five minutes.
Did anyone else notice how purple his arms were, though?

Yes, huzzah indeed!
Well, he couldn't have been up there long, could he? Because Jack and Kate were right behind Ethan, it seems, and if he'd been up too long he'd be irrevocably dead.. like.. dead people usually are.. but not Charlie! *huggles him*
And no, I actually didn't notice, I was looking at his face and stuf and seeing how bad that was. Maybe it's for the best that I didn't notice 'is arms.. being really sad doesn't usually need more sadness added to it, does it?

No, see. Jack was knocked over the head. Then it was raining. Then the next scene, Kate is there when he wakes up. All the blood is washed away and the rain had completely ceased. They start running and come to see from Charlie's elbow area down. His arms were purple, you could see then, I believe.
But then again, if you remember, the rain came on suddenly, so it could have left suddenly as well.
And I don't think he was up there for up to an hour, but it seems like it could have been ten minutes, possibly. And at about seven is when you'd start to get the brain damage. So it still seem like he would have some.. and its also seems a bit longer than just five minutes or so that he was hung up there.

Hmm. We'll just say that Charlie's immune to brain damage, because he's Charlie.
Or maybe it doesn't affect him, because he's used to it?
Maybe he's a Russian spy! *gasp!*

Used to it? -.^
Well, it's Charlie. And Charlie can't die, or have severe brain damage. So..
plus, he didn't exactly remember anything.. that could have been a result of it. Or maybe he's.. one of them... as in the ones Sayid was talking about.
You never know..

Well, drugs can cause brain damage, can't they?

Yes, but I don't think that would hace caused as much as coming back from the dead after that amount of time...

Well, no, but at least he had experience in the area, which I imagine would help.
.. Maybe bassists are just weird like that. I think bassists are just like that. *nods*

By now you should've somehow realised what you're not to do.
Sheesh, Goty, I can't believe you've not done that.
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now.

Because all the roads we have to walk are winding?
ooh, and especially because all the lights that lead us there are blinding?
Who said we were talking about anything?! I've done nothing of the sort... *looks around, shifts in seat*
