I suppose I should tell you the truth about me, then.
My name is Alaric, I am 22 years old, and I live in California. My next-door neighbour is a strange Irishman who lives surrounded by cats. My parents were eaten by squirrels when I was two, or so they tell me.
Currently, I make my living impersonating nuns at the local church. In reality, I use the job as a way to spy on the church cat, whom I suspect is the devious agent of my neighbour. I work for an obscure branch of the Welsh mafia- under the alias Icarus, as I once tried to fly to the sun by tying seagulls to my arms.
I've been admitted to the insane asylum twice, and am currently on the run. I moved to California just recently, after living in New Jersery for a few years. I moved when a strange person with purpleorange hair and promoting shark-meat began tormenting me.
My hobbies include lurking in trees and photographing squirrels in hope that one day finding the squirrels that ate my parents. I am also working on way to make the human brain explode by using certain soundwaves produced by the didgeridoo.
And they called me crazy...hah!

Well, I suppose I should confess who I am. My name is Zoe, and I'm 33. I work for a company that makes t-shirts with witty sayings on them. It is my job to sit in a green room ( to promote creativity) and ponder witty sayings for them to put on the t-shirts. It is a thankless job. They get all the credit, and I get sent back to sit in the green room and ponder. Last year, I ran out of witty sayings. My mind went blank. So I snuck my lap-top computer into the green room, and began surfing the internet. I came across Rivendell, and realized that it would be a wonderful place to come across spiffy sayings. Since joining Rivendell, my bosses have been amazed at the sayings I (well actually you all) have produced. So, thanks to all Rivendellers for saving my job! *begins passing out t-shirts that say "Find your inner William"*

Well, of course it helps that Rivendell is green...
How about, "If you wish to hear, you must listen carefully?"
;D

The green-ness of Rivendell is helpful. Of couse, in the beginning, it was black and blue colours. Ooooo I might actually get a raise in salary for that saying. I'll make sure you get some credit, though. Well, actually, you get all the credit.......
