Scottish=FweeHuzzah! ;D Anyway, I wanted to talk about how I spent my birthday. So I suppose I'll do it here. It's utterly fascinating, so read carefully. Last year I had a party. Bad idea. I invited people I didn't know very well, but thought I'd get to know better, and well, I didn't like it. It's no fun when you're at your own birhtday party and your guests are having a better time than you are, adn excluding you, I might add. It finally culminated that night, when I got my late-night blues, as I do occasionally when I stay up late, and was monstrously excluded at my own party, and started crying for practiacally no reason. So I decided I had had enough of that (I don't really get like that at night any more, but last year I was rather depressed, and it was not unusual for me to collapse crying in the middle of the night if I was spending the night somewhere.) This year I decided not to have a party. Instead, I spent the day with LOTR. Good choice. Sam and Sean Asitn in particular. Sean Astin had an interview on Regis and Kelly that morning, so even though I don't really watch TV, let alone shows like that, I got up early to see it (nine in the morning is early when you have the day off!). I also got the day off school, since it was a Friday and homeschooling is spiffy like that. Then I spent the afternoon watching bits of my favourite special features. Then I went to see ROTK for the third time, and when we came back home, there were Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, and Andy Serkis having some sort of round-table interview with soem guy called Charlie Rose! (Apparently it's a late-night talk/news show on PBS). So all in all it was very satisfactory, and it proved my point- back in December and January, no matter what station one was on at whatever time of day, one had simply to turn on the TV and- there was Elijah Wood! It was insane! Did anyone else notice that? Anyway, my birhtday this year was great, my birthday last year was not, and my tale is told. If you don't know how to celebrate your birthday, I would recommend sticking with good old LOTR as the basis of the festivities. Just another of Marigold's Ponderings there.
