Leo blinked confusedly up at the hole in the ceiling above her. Everyone else had disappeared into it, leaving her and David in the dark room.
'Do ye think we should follow them, Daisy?'
'Uhm...' David looked puzzled for a moment. 'Hey, wait. Do I know you?'
'Er...shifty look?'
Before Daisy could have time to be confuzzed, Leo dragged him over to where the hole was. It was awfully high up, but she didn't really want to be stuck in the empty room until everyone came back. If they came back, that is.
After a moment of pondering, Leo struck upon a thoroughly complicated and sophisticated idea to reach the hole. With a slight e-vile grin, she turned to David and pointed.
'Jump.'
'But...it's very high...and...uhm...didn't I just come from up there? Uhm. Eep.'
One threat of torture later, Leo and David were standing in the vent where the rest of their friends had vanished. There was another hole in the vent's ceiling, though not David-shaped this time.
'Come on, then. Let's go!' Leo grinned. This was fun, actually. She climbed up into the hole, pausing only a moment to wait for David. There was a faint light up here, off in the distance. Figuring that was where the others had gone, they set off toward it.

'Having fun, Lëo?' Mip said as Lëo and Daisy joined up with them. She grinned at the expression on Daisy's face.
'How'd you know that?' Lëo asked, suspciously.
'Admin-like powers. You've got some of your own, y'know... 'sides, I just read your post.' Mip muttered.
'Post?' Billy asked.
'Quite, it's this way, other side of the post, and down. Follow me.' Ala said as she dragged Dom along and everyone else followed. Mip wondered if Ala would really fall for that one, but was interested in seeing the old chap once more, so held her tongue and went along. As Billy gained speed, Mip held out the arm which she was tied with and stopped Billy, who stopped Sean and Mari, who stopped Lëo and Daisy.
'What was that for?' Mari pondered.
'Just wait... I think, perhaps.. just maybe, if we're really where I think we are. It would explain everything! Even the David-shaped hole.' Mip exclaimed exitedly. She let Ala and Dom go on ahead a bit, and watched as they made the turn round the post, and immediately vanished.
'YES! Haha!' Mip said, thrusting her fist into the air, 'It's as I thought. Quiet now, we're going to see an old friend... don't be frightened, he's jolly good fun when he wants to be.' At this, Mip led the way round the post. She and Billy vanished for a moment, then came back quickly, pausing, mid-vanish. 'You'll have to come quickly...' Uncle Billy noticed, 'the vanishing for us is slower than it was for Dom and Ala... I imagine it'll get slowest for Lëowen and David. So come quickly.' Mip and Billy rapidly vanished into the nothingness that lie ahead, followed by the others. They caught up with Ala, who was busy fumbling with her trakkie.
'We've been led astray! Astray!!!' Ala yelled out miserably. Dom looked around seriously, 'where are we?' he called out dramatically.
'You were on a plane, that crashed, and now you're stranded with around 47 other survivors or something like that... which means we must be in Hawaii...but wait! We can't be! We're... *GASP!* LOST!' Mip said teasingly, wondering if anyone other than Dom or Ala would pick up on that.
'I thought we were in an as-' Lëo thought aloud, and was interrupted by Ala, who clamped her hand firmly over Lëo's mouth... who then answered back with a bite and a yelp from Ala.
Mip went around tapping on the walls of the dim-lit room they found themselves in. When she got to the only part of the room that didn't sound hollow, she knocked on it a few times, screamed "MELLON!!!!!" at the top of her lungs, and the wall blew up.
'Liam!' Mip shouted as she raced towards the thing huddled up in the corner of the room. It rocked back and forth, much like the mental patient that he was, then all of a sudden he sprung forth in a leap of fantasicalness, and popped-up wearing a tuxedo, a mask, and a tophat. He held out his hand, and Mip shook it, then Billy did, out of the awkwardness of it all.
'Jeez, Liam.. light on the garb, eh? Next you'll be throwing roses of death at us, and that's just not spiffy.' Mip said, as Liam dashed to and fro, hitting various walls and eventually coming back, dressed rather normally. 'Well that was interesting...' Billy whispered.
'So what brings all of you here?' Liam asked, with a most spiffy English accent.
'Well, basically your magnetism threw off Ala's trakkie.' Mip conluded as Ala smacked the trakkie against Dom's head to see if it would work. Dom yelled, and Ala yelled.. and everything was just dandy. Mari and Uncle Sean, watched curiously with Lëo and David, saying little to nothing.
'I expect I shan't have to introduce you to anyone...' Mip inferred, seeing the tiny monitor on the face of Liam's watch. 'So what have you done with the patients?'
'There aren't any...' Liam said, gravely. He pointed out chairs for everyone to sit in while he told his tale.
'I suppose by now you already know where you're at, so I won't go into detail. The patients dissappeared. Not too long ago really. Last I knew about it, they all dissappeared, and that one showed up.' he said pointing to David, 'I can't fathom where they've gone, but they could wreak havoc on the nation. Not that this should bother you...' he took out an assortment of camera equipment from his jacket. He was a rather skinny bloke, so most all looked in wonder as he took out that many things from his jacket. 'He's fifth dimensional.. so HAH!' Lëo said.
He hooked it all up, and continued his tale, as they all listened. 'There could be one way to solve this... two, actually.. either none of us ever leave, and we live happily like this forever, not caring about the outside world because nothing would ever happen to this building... or we could transport one of you, or one of your friends who has not come with you to offset the imbalance created by Daisy.'
They all pondered curiously, as they eyed the monitor, showing Firi, Ara, and Aunt Orlanda along with all the others.

Ala eyed this Liam oddly. She eyed the monitor oddly. The screen on it began flashing different images. It paused on one picture. There was a group of people, none of them Ala recognized. They all seemed quite miserable. The room was completely white. The people were all wearing white. There were other people wearing a grey-white. Ala assumed they were the nurses, considering they looked less insane than the rest.
'These were most of the former patients,' Liam stated, after everyone had a chance to study the picture. 'This was taken the same day they all disappeared. Nurses and all. I was in my office. There was a TV there. I could see into the room. Well, I went to go put a file away and the when I looked back at it, there was no one in there. I got scared and ran to that room. There was no trace of them. The door was locked, the only ones that had the keys were nurses, but it was only five seconds.'
'Maybe they spontaneously combusted.'
'Maybe they vanished into another dimension.'
'Maybe they poofed into non existence.'
'Maybe.. he's lying!' Ala said, pointing a finger at Liam. They all seemed to ignore here. Liam glared at her, and then looked at the screen. Another picture had popped up. Ala blinked a few times. The picture looked quite familiar. Yes, it was all coming to her. That was the same exact picture she had! It was a picture of a mental asylum. Liam went on explaining that it was the same mental asylum they were in. Only there was no way out. All the doors had been blocked off somehow or another, he did not say.
Ala raised an eyebrow, but Liam continued. Dom noticed Ala acting stranger than usual and double poked her. It was at random and something no one would notice. She rummaged around in some hidden pockets that she had recently installed in her jacket and pulled out a few pictures. She handed them to Dom behind the chairs. It was a quick movement and no one noticed. Dom glanced at the first one and then at the screen. The picture was at the exact same angle as the one on the screen, not to mention that there was a squirrel sitting in the ground nearby, obviously alive, in the exact same spot in both pictures.
Dom picked up on something being odd. Ala wondered if anyone else had. Liam moved onto the next photo. It was in fact several photos, just one above the other, and next to one another and beneath another one. You should get the picture.
'And here I am now. I was sitting up here by myself and suddenly this David person poofed up in front of me. Out of no where. He looked like he was sleeping. I poked him a few times. And he never woke up. Then he just fell through the floor, leaving a hole. I couldn't see down the hole, it was too dark. So I went back and stayed in here.'
Ala listened to the end of his story. There seemed to be some truth to it. More pictures flashed on the screen. One of a burnt building. Liam claimed it was the asylum before. And he had rebuilt the place. Ala recognized that picture also, as did Dom. She wondered if anyone else had.
'But.. but! I'm so confuzed!'
'What is there to be confuzed about, my dear Amarië,' Liam said. Ala eyed him oddly.
'Ohh.. nothing. I understand it all completely!' Ala muttered.
'Liar,' she said under her breath.
Everyone else knew something was up. Some understood more than others, but they all knew something was going on.
Ala took the pictures from Dom and showed them to everyone. 'See! This is the same exact pictures he has just showed you all! This burnt building. He burnt it down himself!'
Dom started to see it all clearly himself and went to the monitor. He took out a remote control located on the side of it and pressed a few buttons. 'See here, this was the place before. I have accessed the tapes from the security cameras.'
A few videos showed up of a guy, who looked exactly like Liam, throwing gasoline all over the building and taking a match to it. Pictures showed the security building located farther away from the institution, so it was out of harm. It also showed the patients poofing into nothingness. Then it went to Liam looking at the ruins and getting men to clear it all up. Then the building of the current institution. Everyone in the room poofing there.
'He planned it all along! He made the other patients poof into oblivion! He burned the place, then rebuilt it, and now we are here! He is messing with our heads! Torturing us!' Ala said. Everyone began to slowly understand. 'He's a liar!'
'We are prisoners here,' Dom ended the speech-like-thing with perfect wording.

'Why did you bring us here?' Billy asked Mip, accusingly, after having peeled her away from the front of the room.
'Chill, will you?' Mip replied hotly.
Billy's gaze darted around the room, and landed on Liam. It was more than obvious Liam was a madman - a villain. And Mip knew the fact well, but something drew her to the man.
'Figures Mip would lead us to a guy named Liam.' Mip heard Lëo muttering. She took out her lawn flamingo and made contact with Lëo's head, applying a very nice amount of force to it. 'OW!' Lëo yelled. Liam quickly glared at her. Billy dodged out of the way. Mari took up her own squeaky object and thwapped Lëo too. 'OW! Stop that!' she yelled.
'What are we going to do?' Billy whispered coarsely. He was clearly upset at Mippin, and slightly frightened. Mip put on her emo glasses, and pulled Billy away. Liam wouldn't notice. He was too engrossed in what he was doing. In any event, he wouldn't really care, either.
'Come on, William. Amarië and Dom will keep an eye out for everything else. Because it's all suspicious. We'll interrogate them later.' she said softly, as she gently pried Billy away.
As they got outside of the room, a room that Liam most certainly had under serveillance, they sighed...until they realised Liam had them under serveillance. 'That was expected. Here, you're taller than me, Billy... d'ye think ye can rewire the camera. I'm sure there's pinholes everywhere, but still.' He nodded, and climbed up to the camera, courtesy of a desk that was in the corner. They didn't have time to waste, so he just severed the cable.
'Okay, well that's done, now what?' he asked, as he climbed down, giving Mip time to massage her arm.
'Now, I'll tell you what's up.' she said, as she bagan her tale.
'Right, so... I'm actually not sure how I know Liam. I've just been aware of him, and his disposition, much like he's been aware of mine, and yours, and everyone else here. -' she was cut off by Billy, who pondered how she was aware of his presence.
'Laptop. Amarië was up to something, and so was I. At first it was just mindless hacking into the system mainframe of the building. That's when I found out where we were at. When she confirmed it, and was vague, I decided to find out who ran this joint. It was then that I discovered Liam. I'd been watching him, trying to piece together his personality. I'm rather surprised ye didn't catch on to that, though, you're pretty good at it.
'So, anyway, turns out he's not that vile. I know it's crazy, because he's clearly a nutcase with rather skewed intentions, but still, he's just... um.. not gotten out of his drug phase, really.'
At that Billy furrowed his brow. 'Drug phase?'
'Well, he is Liam... but anyway, when I found out he'd been watching us, I tried to do everything in my power to let him think I was just a nutcase myself, but not a threat to him. I'm not sure why, but I figured it was better to be safe than sorry, neh? I can't say I've got more of a lead than anyone else does. And yes, I do believe Dom was correct when he murmured that we are all prisoners here, but not quite. Liam wouldn't keep us here. No, he'd let us out eventually. After he had his fun... we don't want that. Four our safety, I'm not going to mention the obvious, but you know what we're going to have to do. Clearly we've on main objective now.'
'What about Liam?' Billy wondered, then his eyes widened. There was a gleam in them.
'Not yet! Not yet...' she said. At that point, they both got up, and made their way back into the room where everyone else was. As they entered, Dom scratched his head.
Mip and Billy snickered, catching his attention.
'What?' he asked them.
They snickered some more.
'Am I having hair problems?'
'Just a little.' Mip said.
'Why didn't you tell me?!' he demanded from Billy.
'Well, I didn't notice!' Mip and Billy both said simultaneously.
'I was taken by your eyes...' they finished up. Billy looked at Mip oddly, and she tried not to burst out laughing.
They decided to take their places beside Amarië an' Dom and tried to gather as much information as they could.

'But what was is his motive? He had to have one.' Ala said to herself, trying to figure the rest of it out. She was certain there was more.
'He doesn't have to have one, he's a madman,' said Mip.
'How do you all know that she is not the one lying?!' Liam said suddenly. He had been curled up in a corner, rocking back in forth, everyone keeping an eye on him. 'Why would I burn down my own mental institution?! And that guy doesn't even look like me!'
It was true. The guy was a little chubbier. He had a beard and looked significantly shorter. It was hard to see the face well, at the angle of the cameras.
'Not unless...' Ala said to herself, but then quickly shut up. It did make sense, but there were still holes in his plan.
'Unless what?'
'Oh, nothing.'
'It’s clearly not me! I mean, how could I poof all those people into nothingness? Why would I do it?' Liam kept protesting, standing up, pacing back and forth, occasionally stopping in front of Ala... Or Mip... or just anyone who he thought was still doubting him and glaring at them. 'And besides, you have no proof! There are no files on this. The guy in the camera doesn't even look like me. And why would I do this? There is no point of me doing it...'
'Okay, okay... Let’s get what you claim is your story straight... You owned this previous mental institution... and one day you went to go put a file away and when you came back, all the patients had disappeared. Then... you stayed here, until David popped in and then we showed up, that's it?'
'Yes, that is it,' Liam said, standing straight up and looking at everyone.
Ala didn't say anymore, neither did anyone else. They all knew he was lying. It was obvious. And what Ala said did make sense... but there was still something wrong. Dom poked Ala. 'What is it?' Ala said quietly, still thinking.
'Okay, what do you know?'
'Nothing, oh, nothing at all,' Ala said, glaring at Liam, while still pondering to herself.
'You know something... and I want to know, now!' Dom said, getting a bit annoyed.
'Fine fine. Liam is lying, as you know. But I suspect there is more. More than I told everyone. I mean, Liam's insane. He is torturing us, and has held us here with no way out. Who knows how many layers there are beyond those we nearly broke through. There may not even be an outside. It may just be one giant cube... one section after another. We may be in... Another dimension....’
Ala could have sworn she heard a *dun, dun DUN!* in the background. She looked around and spotted Mip, who gave a shifty look and whistled. Ala whacked her with the remote to the monitor. They were obviously listening, despite how low she was talking.
'Yes, and if Liam's the crazy one, why would he be in charge of the mental asylum... He would be a patient, neh?'
'Yes, that’s what I was thinking, but what if there was nothing before. What if all that stuff isn't real? What if they are just random pictures of other places? And that really isn't Liam that did all those things. What if that is part of it to mess up our heads too?!' Ala said, whacking her head against the wall.
'Well, we won't know unless we have hardcore proof. And that’s got to be around here somewhere. There are the tapes, and pictures, but did you ever notice that there isn't any of Liam himself... in his office... wait a second...' Dom said, he took the remote and went back to the picture of all the previous patients.
Mip, who had been leaning over their shoulders, saw the same thing to. 'Why... that's it!'
'Of course! A crazy man in charge of a mental institution?! He was really a patient!' Billy exclaimed.
They all saw that Liam was indeed in that picture. He was off in the corner rocking back and forth, facing the camera. Everyone else gathered around and saw it too.
'Aha! It's quite easy to see now. Liam was indeed a patient. And he is five dimensional, as Leo said. So he could have done something to the rest of them. Made them poof into a different dimension. So-' Dom started.
'So he could rule the institution. And bring us all here. And then mess with our heads!' chimed in Billy.
'But to cover up, he burned the place. As is seen in these pictures. It wouldn't make sense if all of them poofed into no where. So he made it seem like they died in the fire!' Ala said after him.
'Then he could claim the place and rebuild it all. And torture us, hold us captive!' Mari stated, Sean nodding beside her.
'He is a truly e-vile man, who only wants to torture us and hold us as prisoners and mess with our already troubled minds. Now, what to do with Liam?' Mip concluded, looking at the man, who eyed everyone oddly.
'Make for the door!'
Everyone ran to the door to block it and watched Liam closely. There was no telling what he could do. Being five dimensional, he could hold any weapon. But then again, on this forum, no ones really gets shot, stabbed or poisoned, or at least without great reason. At that, some minds were eased.

Liam’s face showed no expression. It was then that they all saw how truly crazy he was. His eyes seemed to not focus on anything in particular. They even looked a bit cross-eyed... or as if one eye was looking at one thing, and the other at something else…
They all shuddered for a moment. Not sure what the madman would do and not sure what to do with him. They couldn’t just let him go. Surely he would know more about this mysterious building than the ones who even had maps of the place. They couldn't just kill him off. Despite the fact that several people in the rooms had and/or had access to very good devices and weapons that would be useful in killing him, that would break the laws of the thread. So they had to sit there, and keep a close eye on him, and think of something to do with him.
Everyone was located around the room, in case of any hidden passages Liam tried to escape through, but still the majority stood near the door, the main passage of escape.
Ala sighed and sat down, Dom did the same, having no choice. There was nothing to do but wait. 'We could throw him in a bottomless pit...' -Dom
'And will you be the one who digs that bottomless pit?' -Ala
'Er.. no.. It's already been dug. See 'ere. On this map I stole from you, there is a black hole labeled "The Bottomless Pit"...' -Dom
'And you see those bold red lines? That means the place is securely locked... and there is no entrance... nor a way of exiting.' –Ala, making sure to whack Dom for stealing the map without permission.
'Do you know how it is locked, exactly... If we made it up here, we can make it anywhere...' -Dom
'Not exactly... see, we made it up here thanks to David, who had no idea how he got up down there, or up here, or where he is now. The man's lost and he was most likely our only hope in figuring out how he poofed here, unless you think you can get anything out of Liam...' -Ala
'Well, we could try burning a hole in the wall again... Using a few of the chemicals that I saw when you had gotten those you used, I believe we could blow a hole in the place.' -Dom
'And blow the whole building up as well?' -Ala
A long pause.
'Can't we just kill the man and move on with our lives?!' -Dom
'No, of course not. See, this man holds in his bony hands and his crazy mind the outcome of our whole future.' -Ala
'What do you mean?' -Dom
'I mean he is our--' -Ala
*BOOM!*
There were a few screams, someone yelling 'Orlanda, shut up!' and a few 'What's going on?' They all looked around. Liam had vanished. But in the corner where he was rocking back and forth, there was a giant hole in the wall.. As well as bits and pieces of cloth that resembled his jacket spread out everywhere, floating to the ground.
'Did the man combust or something?!' -Billy
'No, no, if he did, we'd all be dead.. being 5 dimensional, everything he had in his pockets would have combusted as well... causing a thousand times the normal combustion booming-ness...' -Mip
'Well, are we going to go after him or what, guys?' -Mari
They all crawled into the hole in the wall to find a tunnel.
'Imagine that, a tunnel! What a surprise!' -Ala, sarcasm.
Up ahead, the tunnel got very bright. Everyone soon tumbled out of it, basically at the same time, and onto the floor. They looked up, squinted, their sunglasses away from them, and made out Liam's silhouette in front of a very bright light.
'And this is the moment, that I say farewell to you all!' Liam said. Everyone tried to get to their feet, slowly as possible, still wary of the man, but he continued, 'I hope you all have fun on your journey after this day. The last day you ever see Liam again. The day which begins the rest of your life. The day I give you back your freedom. I am sorry to have messed with your heads, so, but I think it was for the better, just look at the new friendships you have made. And at that, I will leave, and I shall miss you all terribly. I bid thee all a fond farewell... goodbye…'
They all watched in horror as Liam first stuck his arm in his jacket, soon followed by his upper body, then his lower body, then the jacket itself, ending with a popping noise. In that split second, the man that had messed with their heads the past sleepless weeks was gone.
And that is the end of Liam, the madman. He now only exists in his own 5th dimension.
Everyone stood and stared in shock, not sure what to do.
'Freedom??' Ala whispered.
She started running towards the light, Dom stumbling behind her. They stopped them where Liam had disappeared.
'He put himself in his own 5th dimension...' Dom said quietly.
Everyone had ran up behind them, stopping at the same spot, and gathering in a semi-circle around it. At the same time, everyone looked up and out into the light, which was now not so bright. The sun was shining, the birds chirping, the grass was green, the squirrels were skittering about, and the mental institution sign was gone.
'…and showed us the way out of that maze in the process...' Ala whispered to herself. 'Freedom.'

Arwen stood in amazment at the hole.
"How exactly did that happen?", she asked Amarie.
"Well, he is Liam. He's not bound by normal laws of the universe as we are."-Amarie
Arwen nodded in agreement.
"So, what do we do now that we have freedom."-Arwen
"We do what we have the freedom to do. That is very simple to see."-Mip
"Ah yes. Should have thought of that I should."-Arwen
Arwen walked back down the tunnel dragging the Tie-fonderler behind her. She had been in a coma during all the proceedings, and Arwen had no desire to wake her. She went and bought a glass of orange juice from the vending machine she had the power to make appear, anytime anywhere.
"It has been brought to my attentiont that everytime we drink orange juice, we help flordia rebuild. So, I think we should all share some orange juice."
Arwen passed out the glasses of Juice.

OT: *stabs WMP for losing original post a couple o' days back*
'How does anyone truly react to freedom? In awe?' Uncle Billy asked thoughtfully.
Mip looked around, hardly daring to lift her eyes. 'May you find a better path to tread, dear Liam. You were a wicked soul, but you always were looking for that button.' she whispered softly, looking at where Liam once stood.
Everyone managed to hear her, though, and was curious.
'You know something...' Firi began, 'about Liam.'
'Of course she knows something...' Ala, Dom an' Billy began, 'about Liam.'
Mip nodded. It was true. She did know more about Liam than perhaps the others did. But only because she knew him from a long time ago. Giving a soft nod, she motioned for everyone to sit down with their non-poisoned, perfectly normal juice and listen up.
'I'd like to think Liam was somewhat of a friend...' she began, but was immediately interrupted by Leo.
'I thought he was a wicked soul.'
'He is.'
"Ah, of course.'
'But not a normal friend... he was that character you always wondered about. In fact, it's all very vague.' and so began the Tale of Liam, in Full:
'You guys now know about my dealings with the Chunnel. That's were he was. I thought I had kind of discovered the Chunnel AU, but he was already there...
'He kept going on and on about this... button. Or perhaps a switch to life. It drove him mad, and he was kicked out of said Chunnel for disturbing the peace. But the inhabitants there were kind enough to find him a place to live instead of letting him die in the cold with his tongue stuck to an invisible pole. They took him to a mental institution, aye, the very one we were in. But that wasn't any help to poor Liam.
'He was still mad, always would be, but going from an AU to this world, and being fifth dimensional, he had opened a portal. A portal connecting the AU and this world. Worlds that were never meant to actually collide, but he was the link. Why? Because he's fifth dimensional, of course.
'Now, he started out with good intentions. Folk who wanted a new place to live could turn to Liam and find their way to the Chunnel, an' others who wanted vacations could go see the real world... but every passage made him sick. He felt weaker and weaker and soon his intentions turned ill. He'd send people to a fifth dimension where, in his boredom, he could play with their minds, torture them, and then keep them in the asylum to be his mind-toys for the rest of their putrid, little lives.
'No, the Chunnel would recieve no new inhabitants, and vacationers would never return. Liam turned his madness into the crux of his dark abode. He was fascinated by the way people reacted, and horrified by the way they seem tortured. He always claimed that he just wanted to find someone like himself, but he never would... why was he fifth dimensional, anyway? Why couldn't he remember? He never wanted to be fifth dimensional, you know... no, instead he wished he could go back and start over again.. be a normal, happy person. Struggle along with everyone else for everyone else's reasons and not be imprisoned by difference. For so he felt he was...
'When David tuned his TV to the right channel, the frequency interrupted the portal. It was likely close to our original rendezvous point, but the signal, being strong enough had ricocheted off his bunny ears, and hit us directly, sending us to Liam's abode - the institution. The signal had to have been weakened by impact, or else he wouldn't have appeared. When at last it did weaken, and he reached for his antenna to fix the picture, he pointed it almost clearly at the station where Liam broadcasts... thus sending himself straight to us, and finding us the point where Liam actually was.'
Mip felt somewhat Holmsian... she paused a moment to let that sink in with everyone.. heard a few 'huh's here and there, and then proceeded.
'The thing is, Liam always wanted to be put out of his misery. Knowing that he couldn't start over, he just wanted to end. But it would never happen. Death would never befall him. So at last when we found him... he came to a conclusion he perhaps should have made a long time ago...'
More dramatic pause.
'What was that?' Arwen asked. Mari looked around sadly, and everyone else was glacing here and there solemnly.
'To leave the worlds he thought he knew. The worlds he felt he wished to belong in. There was but one thing which he did not try... to enter the fifth dimension entirely, because that would destroy his ability to ever breach our world or the Chunnel again. The thought scared him. But he made his choice, and the jig was up. You saw him put himself in the fifth dimension... and so everything of his making was destroyed. You'll notice the institute where we were held hostage at is gone...'
'Then what's in that fifth dimension, I wonder?' Mari pondered aloud.
At this Billy realised what Mip was saying to Liam from afar. 'Perhaps he'll find a place to belong. He is part of that world, after all. Part of that dimension...' he said quietly.
They sat in utter silence, as the world around them grew louder, and they lost feel with all the memories of that place. They, too, would perish with Liam. Mip struggled to write down everything she could remember, but as she wrote, the words faded away. She sighed.
In a moment, they all gasped and looked around them. It seemed everything they once thought nothing of was making itself known in that moment, never to be forgotten.
