Well, I don't think I'll start until September again, so mwat. *stabs person who did such an awful thing to ye three* When else am I to start it, though? The end of this month? I don't want people to be busy with school, but it's rather unavoidable, really... *sighs*

Can I start it now? I want to start now.. so does Ala, an' she's a Mighty Admin™. And Mip wants to, too.. and she's also a Mighty Admin™. So we're starting tomorrow - mwahaha! Any objections will be read but not taken into account.. And I think this is an okay time for everyone. I'll write the first post tomorrow morning, then! *grins*

Yes, by all means go ahead. Firi can post her character description later, I s'pose.. before her first post, I guess.. yeah.

Yes, yes! Now I must go back and reread everyone's bios... Its been awhile since everyone submitted them, I think.

Well, Firi can't do it, because she'll have limited computer time and she's already involved in several other RPGs. Saphy has kindly agreed to take over the part of the prep leader, and she will most likely submit a character form soon enough. Her home computer doesn't like to load Rivendell, though, so I might have to keep her updated through e-mail and post her bits myself...
Anyhow, we've started. I've posted, ye all may post... It'll be the start of school, September 8th. That's a Wednesday.. and the remainder of the week will be for settling in, so there shan't be classes, and people will keep arriving, even though the 8th is the official start date an' the day Maidie arrives. Classes will start on Monday, the 13th, and until then there will be loads of assemblies and annoying things like that. Post away!

Huzzah! Lovely, lovely posts, all of them! *huggles ye all* Now, Ala, that's a very good question, and one that I'm afraid I'll have to admit I didn't think of. There are a couple things we'll have to agree on - namely the schedule of the school day, the rooming, the general building layout, and which group Maidie's going to be in. At this point I don't even know the answer to the last one. I think, since the school administration is very much behind the social system that's set up, all the group leaders would have their own rooms. The others would most likely have room mates... so all of ye who're leaders, ye'll have had room mates, and then gotten yer rooms to yerselves after ye became leaders (one would assume that exceptions might be made if a leader really, really wanted to keep their room mate). I think Dagger would be by herself as well... seeing as she's the Somewhat Shifty Floater. Now, y'know, there's the possibility that Maidie would be made to room with 'er... Other than that the only non-leader-y character is Elbie's. I'd like to have the characters with room mates rooming with someone else we know as much as possible. We'll just have to decide how we'll go about that. There's also the possibility that Maidie will get placed with Lydia an' then get moved in with Dagger when Lydia switches groups... *shrugs* I'm really not certain about Maidie's placement. She would fit best as a geek, but it all depends on openings... an' ye leaders'll 'ave to decide who yer minions are, an' how many openings ye 'ave, if any. I wonder if there's a Floater spot open... I guess I'll outline a bit o' what I think o' the building, and then let people add to it if they like. I like to think of it as a semi-ornate an' rather formidable old-fashioned stone building of three stories. The groud floor would be the main offices, the assembly hall, the gynasium, and such. Second floor 'as classrooms and the library. Third floor would be the students' rooms, and the teachers would have their bedrooms in a separate wing of the building, only accesible through a forbidden-to-students entrance on the first floor which leads up to the second and third floors of the wing. *grins* Well, just writing I know there'll at least one incident of sneaking into the teachers' wing... School day, school day. I've not really the energy to do quite this much planning, and it'll be a few more days before we start classes I expect, so I'll put that up in another post.

well, you answered the question I was going to ask... which involved if the school's administration agreed to this social system. 'Cos in a regular school people just kind of end up in what group they belong... they aren't forced to join a group or have to be in a group... and its nothing recorded or kept up on.. as many of you public-school-goers should know... and just people in general, considering its practically common sense..
We don't really have a loner do we? Or would Elbie's character be considered that.. just a person that has no group or anything.. also, we seem to be focusing on three or four main social groups... there's several others that one could come up with.. but since we have few regular post-ers here... its practically impossible to cover them all.
As of what group Maidie is in, yes, she would fit in with the geeks, but doesn't necessarily have to be in that group... some people who seem like they would fit in with a certain crowd might end up not being able to stand them or just argue with them all the time or something...
okay, so there's two people that have characters that haven't posted yet? *wonders if she's missed someone* and Saphy has to do pretty much two posts, taking over the prep leader too, eh? well, not two posts.. it can be two posts in one.. but its still writing two different characters...
whoa.. long post.. I bet it was all one big run-on sentance, wasn't it? *laughs at herself*

No.. actually... as far as I know she's just switched over to being the prep leader.. unless of course she wants to do both... Well, see, Maidie would be absolutely miserable as a prep, and the goths would scare her too much.. but she won't have very say in the matter. Yes, the school does condone the social system, as evidenced in the meetings that are held to place new students, and the separate uniforms for the different groups an' such. Dagger's a Floater.. which I guess ye could call a loner...

Right... I'm tweaking mine, because I read it over and it doesn't seem detailed enough to mwah... so 'ere we go...
Name: Lydia Arnwen
Age: 14
Social Group: The Wanting-to-be transfered girl ;-D
‘Ranking’: Low, very low
Description: Lydia has black, wavy shoulder-length hair. Her skin is a cinnimon-y color, owing to her Indian bacround. She is rather short, only 5' 2", and is average in the weight area.
Personality: Lydia is very much of a do-er. If she wants something done she will do everything in her power to do it, without any regard for anyone, thing or rule that might get in her way. She's very sarcastic, and when you talk to her, it's very hard to tell when she's actually being serious. She has been totured about her backround, for as long as she can remember, and she hates it. If someone insults her, there is no way she will get back into Lydia's good grace; no matter how much they apologize. She gets angry very easily, but rarely loses control of herself. Lydia loves to sing, but you never hear her do so in front of someone. Above all, she desperatly wants to know that someone- anyone- cares.
History: Lydia's mother was born in India (yes, the country) and immigrated to the US at the age of 25 . She knew very little about the culture, but she met a wealthy American business man who took a liking to her and asked her to marry him. She accepted, hoping he would be a rescue from her problems. He wasn't. When Lydia was born, She was sent to public school. I didn't work out. She rebelled when she was 12, and her parents separated at the end of her last school year because her father didn't want to cope with her. She has lived with her mother ever since, but has grown very bitter against both her parents.
