So, yes. This is basically it. Have you written a poem that you are particularly proud of? Would you like us all to see it and see how wonderful it is? Post your original poems here. They can be Middle Earth related or not. They can rhyme or not. They can makes sense or not. Creativity is the key!! So, get typing! ;D

Ooh.... weren't we going to keep this section specifically Tolkien, though, and let people post poetry in their journals? Or am I getting confused and that was only at Arda?

That was at Arda. If Mippin and Amarie want it that way as well, I guess I can move it back......

Sorry, this was just meant to be a collection of poetry from all the rivendellers. Not specifically Tolkien, so not really fan-related. But it could be if you wanted to post Tolkien poetry, does that make sense? So I suppose it would be hard to place. Sorry, I just thought it would be nice to have a little online poetry book written solely by our Rivendell lot ;D

Here's a haiku I wrote:
Lightning plays about The heads of skybound Dragons. A storm is coming.
I've got loads more poems. I'll be back later with more.

Nah, you're not an oddity in that regard. Haikus aren't hard, I just don't really like them that much. It's hard to really bend them to your will, and I'm not too fond of the meter... 'Twas a good haiku, though, Saphy, don't think I'm saying it's not. I just prefer making up my own meters... Though Ann-thennath is fun, albeit hard.
