I know, I know, it's just been forever and a half since I last updated this. Sorry! I've just been really busy, even though it's summer. I had good fun last night. I went out with my best friend Claire and her parents in their boat on the lake. They all waterskiied, and I tried to as well, but only ended up making the skis fall off my feet and get massive amounts of lake water up my nose. While Claire was in the middle of skiing, the boat's engine died, and she had to swim back to the boat. So we all sat in the boat for around an hour, trying to attract the attention of other boats by waviong our arms so we could get someone to tow us to shore. The guy in the first boat that stopped told us that he was busy at the moment, so we should just call 911, and he'd be back in an hour or two to see if we were still there. The second boat just waved back to us (the people in it, not the boat! )Finally, a third boat stopped and towed us back to shore. It was all quite an adventure! ;D *Hopefully*, more later (as in tomorrow, not next month!) I have to go brush my teeth now! Au revoir, Lady Wimsey Edit: Bad spelling noticed long after the fact...

I'm at my computer class right now and we're making movies. I'm going to have mine be about Merry and Pippin, but I'm not sure what to do. Any plot ideas? The movie has to be 3 minutes or less, so nothing too complicated, please!

I came up with the idea a little after I last posted. It's this completely domran story where Merry loses his pipe and they go to look for it. I am going to do the drinking song (the first one) during the credits, though. I'm using my brother's action figures (he has Merry and is going to get Pippin) against a blue screen, and then inserting picture of the Shire, etc. behind them. It should be interesting.

That sounds absolutely smashing. Ye realise of course that ye'll simply have to find a way to get it online an' show it to us?

If it turns out any good, I'll try. I hope my site will let me upload something that big...and that there won't be any copyright issues...I'll have to ask my teacher... Edit: Maybe I could just e-mail it to ye, that way I could bypass any website problems. I'd have to edit my name (and my brother's) out of the credits since we're not allowed to give them out. I guess your version will just say Fingolfin and Oromin instead

I thought I'd post my script, so you can tell me what you think of it and I can change it if necessary before I tape the dialog tonight.
Scene 1: Outdoors, somewhere around Hobbiton Merry: Let's have a smoke, Pip. Pippin: Good idea. (gets out pipe) M: (looking around) I can't seem to find my pipe. P: Do you think you've lost it? M: I'm afraid I might have. Well, there's nothing for it. We've got to go look for it. (both leave)
Scene 2: Front hall of Bag End [I'm using that great John Howe illustration] (M & P walk in, Frodo is there) P: Hello Frodo! Frodo: Hullo Merry, hullo Pippin. What are you doing here? M:I think I've lost my pipe and we've come here to look for it. F: Well then, come on and we'll look for it.
That's all I have time for at the moment, more to follow later! ;D

Here's more... Scene 3: Front hall of Bag End -- again F: Well, it doesn't seem to be anywhere around here. M: Where else could it be? P: I don't know, but we'd better go look somewhere else. (M& P leave) Scene 4: Outdoors, somewhere else around Hobbitonn M: (reaching into pocket) What's this? Look Pip, it's my pipe! (pulls out pipe) P: Well then Merry, let's have a smoke! Scene 5: Credits (M&P dance around with mugs singing the drinking song) Please let me know what you guys think!!!

Fwee! That's spiffy! ^^ Yeah.. no one bothers carrying Pippin.. *sob* Though no one bothers with Merry around here either.. 'twas just a lucky chance that brought me to stumble upon one last Action!Figure!Merry. Leo and I bought the set of five hobbitses... *nodnod* They're spiffy, but no.. probably not the best to get if ye just want Pippin.

I did end up buying the set, 'cause I didn't really have any other options... actually my dad bought it, 'cause he went to the store without me and then didn't want me to pay him back (not that I particularly mind ). Merry, Pippin and Sam are the best in the set though. Frodo looks odd and Bilbo doesn't look anything like himself. I'm very glad the mug fits in Pippin's hand, though. My brother and I are thinking of getting a friend of ours who paints models and is also very into LotR to help us touch them up a bit in the future. We were recording the dialog this evening, but the microphone died in the middle of our best take of scene 1, so all we really have done is the drinking song... Oh well, it is the loftiest part of the whole movie. ;D

Well, the movie's all done now, and I'm back from New Jersey, so I can send it to you guys. It's 2.71 MB, so I can e-mail it to you if your mailbox is big enough, or I can use this thing called ZNAIL. ZNAIL is this site where you can sign up for an account, and then you can put files up on the site, and then you give the username and password to anyone you want to give the files. If you want a copy of my movie, PM me and tell me whether you want it e-mailed or to use ZNAIL. Send me your e-mail address if you want to use that, or I can give you the ZNAIL password if you prefer that.

Wow. It's been way too long since I last posted here. Today's been pretty boring, other than the fact that we got around 8 inches of snow last night, and I probably have the flu. Blech.
