Everyone else has a journal.... so I want one. Huzzah! for journals. I've been making a lot of mental entries, but I keep forgetting them all. Anyway, I truly have a desire to tell people things about my life and have them make comments. So here I go. I'm listening to beacon music right now. I love that music. Ah..... beacons. And Pippin. I must see ROTK again! How could I convince someone to take me? Would anyone who's going soon mind kidnapping me? I've only seen it three times! The horror! I must see my Sam be heroic and my Pippin sing! And then Sam and Rosie's wedding, and the End of All Things, and the Grey Havens *sob* . I think I'll stop, as the mention of the Grey Havens has somewhat sobered me. But not really. Don't you love it when everyone else is in a different part of the house being quiet, and you can be on the computer doing whatever you want and playing your ROTK soundtrack as loud as you please? Ah, the joy of the online computer, and feeling the keyboard under my fingers! I'm such an internet addict. Ah! The song! Doesn't he sing well? I'm typing as quietly as I can so that I can listen to it. For some reason the volume on the computer doesn't go any louder than sort of loud. So I can't make the song all loud and loud-like, like I am able to do in my room. I didn't think it would be easy for me to get much weirder. But in the five or so days that I've been here, I've gotten much weirder. Congratulations, everyone! Last night I was scaring my mom by laughing uncontrollably for no reason. I do that occasionally. It's kinda scary, too, because I end up acting like I'm on something, but unless one can get high off of water, that can't be the case. It's usually not for no reason, though. It's somehting funny I read online, most times, I just don't tell anyone. Hehe. This time it was of my own invention, though: I was imagining Agent Samwise with his elven rope. It's from some crazy Matrix parody thing on the Downs ages ago. The image of hobbits in tight black leather and sunglasses was too much for me at the time, and it's still too much for me. But add magic rope and taters of Dooooooooooommmmm an' all the rest, and it's hysterical. I love Sam to death, but the image of him as a secret agent is insanely funny. I was modifying all sorts of dialouge, too, but I can't remember that. And that was the really funny part. Okay, last thing: I made myself a pipecleaner bracelet. I'm wearing it right now. It's plain white and twisted around my wrist just tight enough to be snug and not tight enough to cut off the circulation. I've got to keep my left hand so that I can type! It was for some stupid "lab exercise" in math, proving the Triangle Inequality Theorem and all that nonsense. Once I was done with it I just stuck it on my wrist. So there you have it.... Marigold's commentary on her life today. So much fun.

Huzzah!!! for thine spiffy journal!
Rivendell can make one go off the deep end, neh? It's a beautiful thing.
I too, am an internet fanatic. ;D
Uncle Billy sings...he sings... *tries to find suiting word* fatasmicerrififul! ^^
Huzzah for Sam! And Pippin! And Frodo! And certainly not least of all, my dear Merry...who was so ruefully looked over in RotK, but hopefully not in the EE...and he had a scar part of the time too! (If you haven't noticed, I rant a lot about Merry and his scar...really, I'm okay.)
I nearly lost my left hand when I got bit by a spider. ^^ (well..not lost...just couldn't type very well) which is bad, considering I am left-handed. But I love spiders. So all is well. Pipecleaners are fun. Particularly white pipecleaners, I've always been fond of white ones.

Wow, a reply already! I feel so special! <---- looks like Dom wearing sunglasses. Anyway, I think I'll sleep with my pipe cleaner bracelet on. To remind of Rivendell and all the fun I have here. I love your invented word, Mip. And the fact that you're left-handed. I love left-handed people. You now officially have a fan. ;D I went to Downs chat for the first time in my life tonight.... it was seriously disturbing. I should spend my time productively here at Rivendell when I'm bored from now on. But I was feeling adventurous, and I got that. Grrrr..... someone say something nice to make me feel better. I think I've been scarred for life. Scarred like Merry, although perhaps not as bad. -Hobbit-lover Marigold ;D

So, sleep with the pipe cleaner bracelet on I did. Last night everything was reminding me of Dom... my bracelet reminded me of Dom.... my hands reminded me of Dom.... it was weird. I think Uncle Dom has taken over my mind. Him or Sblomie. I'm not sure which, actually. When I was at the store today with my mom, I kept myself amused by thinking about many funny things, Rivendell things among them. And I looked at a magazine called Movie Magic that I really need, because about half of it deals with LOTR, and it has really great pictures, and quotes from the actors that I (amazingly!) have never heard before. And the Uncle Dom and Uncle Billy pics were so cute.... I don't think they can help but look funny and adorable all the time. It's not possible. I just listened to Billy sing again.... it seems that that's somehow connected with this journal. Maybe every time I come here to post, I'll be at that part of the soundtrack. It will probably happen. Things like that have a knack of doing so.

I've been here for a week and a day, and I'm an Elf-lord already. I feel so special. Is it some sort of record? I don't think so, but I still think those fifty-two posts went by awfully fast.

Squee! I love left-handed people too... Huzzah! I have a fan. ;D It's rather fun when things remind you of someone in LotR, or LotR in general.. little black stars remind me of Uncle Dom. You know, it's almost annoying...they can wear really derranged farm shirts, and still not look as foolish as Aunt Orlanda does in his derranged farm shirts. But that is a good thing, neh? Congrats on becoming an elf-lord! ;D

Well, Mip said she'd love to hear my story. So I guess I'll proceed to post it in installements here. But first..... more amusing ponderings: I just got a spiffiful magazine today, called Movie Magic, that has a huge section about LOTR. When I first saw it, I expected it to be just things I knew and pictures I'd seen.... but it wasn't! And so I got it! Mwahahaha!!!!! It has some great bios and everything, and it's really quite funny. It's rather expensive, ten dollars, in fact, but my non was nice enough to pitch in and even take a special trip to go get it. It has the greatest pictures of Uncle Billy and Uncle Dom, they're so lofty. And their bios are wonderful. Not to mention Sean A., his is quite nice, as well. I haven't gotten the chance to view it all yet, so more on that tomorrow or the day after, I suppose. It's got kilty-goodness. And if I recall aright, it also has Aunt Orlanda in more of his derranged shirts..... what is up with those? Anyway, my story. Right. And.... drat! No time for it. Tomorrow, maybe. First priority, when I get the chance. But that might mean a lot of editing as the day progresses. Oh, well.

Where is everyone? I've been online practically all day, on a Saturday no less, and no one anywhere. I'm playing my ROTK soundtrack as loud as it will go, because the neighbors are playing their terrible rap music at super-extra volume. I should add them to my list of people who can drop dead. They do it all the time, and I can't stand it. And it seems to get louder every time. This is just about the loudest it's ever been. Although a couple times the windows have rattled, it's been so loud, so maybe not. My mom has called the police on them a few times, but they still do it. Argh! They have parites all the time, or at least I think they're parties. They just all stand around doing nothing but bobbing their heads to the pulsing booms that are being emitted by their ugly black truck with extreme amplifiers, because of course everyone for three miles around just has to hear the latest from Booming Kablang.
Speaking of parties, as I was, I feel I should give an account of the one I went to last night. Well, it was fun. We went to a little Indian restaurant. I never knew they served tacos, hamburgers, and enchiladas at Indian restuarants. Well, one of the girls there was relating her plan for world domination, which was hopelessly unrealistic. Like I said, everyone knows all you have to do is infiltrate the Tolkien community, and you've pretty much got it. So I wrote a much better plan in the form of a story. Actually, it was really just making fun of her plan, but there was one part that was rather plannish: the fact that another friend and I took over the world using a combination of pop culture and advanced technology. Which, I think, is the only real way to do it. And much easier and cheaper than raising Atlantis, re-directing the North Atlantic Drift, and recruiting Inuits. I was actually just mad that the original scemer had told me that I wasn't smart enough to take over the world- that I was just myself. I found that rather insulting. I'm smart enough to take over the world, aren't I? She said that I wasn't a genius, so I couldn't. I'd like to know how she knows that I'm not, and how she's so sure that the other people in her plan are. *sits and stews* That's pretty much all I do when people saw things like that to me. I refute their comment, give them looks, and then sit and stew. This whole story has a purpose, I promise.
And the purpose is that she grabbed the story, but I knew that once she'd read it she'd destroy it, which was of course undesirable. So I was able to grab it from her, but when she started searching everywhere for it, I erupted laughing. I'd make a terrible spy. Everyone was being so loud that she somehow failed to notice that I was laughing uncontrollably, and I was able to slip the paper into my conveniently open cargo pocket (I had my socks in it earlier, and had left it open when I put them back on. Like I kight have said before, the more weird things happen to me, the less I believe in "coincidence".) Anyhow, I tried to disguise my laughter by eating cake, to no avail. I very unwisely took refuge in the water glass- I seemed to have lost my mind at that point, because I really should have known that the inevitable would happen. But it's never happened to me before, so how should I know? I squirted water out of my nose onto the plate with my cake on it, and then started choking, and my eyes started watering. The only thing that would have made it perfect is if I had found a way to get water to come out of my ears. But I was truly dying. I do that sometimes; I drink too fast and choke, but this was a really bad incident. And somehow the schemer completely failed to notice all of this, even though I was sitting next to her. People never cease to amaze me, whatever else they might do.

And now I'm a Nazgul and a mod.... two momentous events in one day! ;D
I don't see as there's much more to say at present. Off to post on Danger in Ithilien and Empire Eryx. Hopefully will be able to write a good and sizable post for both before my mom needs the computer.
