I doubt we'll ever be able to reform my dad, because whenever he helps me study for history tests, he keeps rooting for all the Communists! He's even tried to defend Stalin. The really sad thing is that he's Jewish (well, theoretically), but he practically hates Israel. I think his hero is Noam Chomsky (sp?). As my dad has said himself, he's smart, but he has no common sense.
The problem with Communism is that it sounds kind of nice in theory, but it never works because it goes against human nature.
I'm so glad most of you guys aren't raving liberals (or at least you don't seem like it). Don't get me wrong, some of my best friends are very liberal, but it's very nice to have a change from the political climate where I live, where you can get death threats for being a pro-lifer.

Well, see, we differ on governmental issues, but none of us are radicals (unless, o' course, ye count the SRA.. but hush! You hear nothing! ) But in the conservative/liberal scale, I think we're all conservative... I know what ye mean about the pro-life thing. That's tough. Being made to feel somehow less because ye support the protection of the lives of babies...

My mom used to be the vice-president of Feminists For Life, before I was born. Being pro-life is the only remotely political thing my dad will agree with the rest of the family on, although he doesn't like to admit it.

Meh, I am both, as well. I sense another society in the works.. or actually, just SPCH and SAM supporters.

Definitely a pro-lifer. Kinda a tree-hugger. And I whole-heartedly support SPCH, SAM, APAA, etc. (Sorry, Luthy, but what's the org. for Sam again? *feels un-lofty for forgetting *) Wow, I started a whole political conversation. Whoa... o.O Sorry about your dad, Lady Harriet; I know people who are that stubborn. 'Tis most frustrating. Abedithon le, ~Takua

It's so nice to have people who agree with me. I'm not quite a tree-hugger, but I do like them very much. I s'pose it might be inherited, seeing as my mom's a botanist. I do love to spend lots of time in my tree house, though. It's really disconcerting to me to find all sorts of people who agree with me. I guess I’m just used to having to hide my views from almost everybody, even my best friends. That’s what it’s like in the pathetic place where I live!
