I was right there for both songs, it was great!
Anyways, Blue October is quickly becoming one of my favourite bands since I first heard it a month or two back.
Here's one by another great band, Jet.
Are You Gonna Be My Girl By Jet
Go!!
So 1,2,3, take my hand and come with me because you look so fine and i really wanna make you mine.
I say you look so fine that I really wanna make you mine.
Oh, 4,5,6 c'mon and get your kicks now you dont need that money when you look like that, do ya honey.
Big black boots, long brown hair, she's so sweet with her get back stare.
Well I could see, you home with me, but you were with another man, yea! I know we, ain't got much to say, before I let you get away, yea! I said, are you gonna be my girl?
Well, so 1,2,3, take my hand and come with me because you look so fine and i really wanna make you mine.
I say you look so fine that I really wanna make you mine.
Oh, 4,5,6 c'mon and get your kicks now you dont need that money with a face like that, do ya.
Big black boots, long brown hair, she's so sweet with her get back stare.
Well I could see, you home with me, but you were with another man, yea! I know we, ain't got much to say, before I let you get away, yea! I said, are you gonna be my girl?
Oh yea. Oh yea. C'mon! I could see, you home with me, but you were with another man, yea! I know we, ain't got much to say, before I let you get away, yea! Uh, be my girl. Be my girl. Are you gonna be my girl?! Yea

Quite a bit of it... well, actually, depends on what you mean by "believe."
Evanescence - Even in Death
Give me a reason to believe that you're gone I see your shadow, so I know they're all wrong Moonlight on the soft brown earth It leads me to where you lay They took you away from me But now I'm taking you home
[CHORUS:] I will stay forever here with you My love The softly spoken words you gave me Even in death our love goes on
Some say I'm crazy for my love, oh my love But no bonds can hold me from your side, oh my love They don't know you can't leave me They don't hear you singing to me
[Chorus]
And I can't love you any more than I do...
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hole The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything
What have I become? My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end You could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt
I wear this crown of s*** Upon my liar's chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stains of time The feeling disappear You are someone else I am still right here
What have I become? My sweetest friend Everyone I know Goes away in the end
You could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt If I could start again A million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way.
Julia.... The Beatles - Julia
Half of what I say is meaningless But I say it just to reach you, Julia
Julia, Julia, oceanchild, calls me So I sing a song of love, Julia Julia, seashell eyes, windy smile, calls me So I sing a song of love, Julia
Her hair of floating sky is shimmering, glimmering In the sun
Julia, Julia, morning moon, touch me So I sing a song of love, Julia
When I cannot sing my heart I can only speak my mind, Julia
Julia, sleeping sand, silent cloud, touch me So I sing a song of love, Julia Hum hum hum hum... calls me So I sing a song of love for Julia, Julia, Julia.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge
Sometimes I feel Like I don't have a partner Sometimes I feel Like my only friend Is the city I live in The city of angels Lonely as I am Together we cry
I drive on her streets 'Cause she's my companion I walk through her hills 'Cause she knows who I am She sees my good deeds And she kisses me windy I never worry Now that is a lie
I don't ever want to feel Like I did that day Take me to the place I love Take me all the way
It's hard to believe That there's nobody out there It's hard to believe That I'm all alone At least I have her love The city she loves me Lonely as I am Together we cry
I don't ever want to feel Like I did that day Take me to the place I love Take me all that way
Under the bridge downtown Is where I drew some blood Under the bridge downtown I could not get enough Under the bridge downtown Forgot about my love Under the bridge downtown I gave my life away
Finger Eleven - One Thing
Restless tonight Cause I wasted the light Between both these times I drew a really thin line It’s nothing I planned And not that I can But you should be mine Across that line
[Chorus:] If I traded it all If I gave it all away for one thing Just for one thing If I sorted it out If I knew all about this one thing Wouldn’t that be something
I promise I might Not walk on by Maybe next time But not this time
Even though I know I don’t want to know Yeah I guess I know I just hate how it sounds
[Chorus x2]
Even though I know I don’t want to know Yeah I guess I know I just hate how it sounds
Even though I know I don’t want to know Yeah I guess I know I just hate how it sounds
[Chorus x3]

I had a friend named Daniel Keefe who used to write songs. He was eccentric, English, and loads of fun. So, anyway, I suppose I'll give you a few of his songs. Here's one of my favourites:
I Love Flying
I love flying, flying is my pleasure....... I'm always on the lookout for lots of sunken treasure....... (repeat)
There are long ones, too, that one was quite sort. Of course, they're nothing without the melodies, but they're still funny.
Here's another short favourite of mine:
Think That the Water Is Blue
Think that the water is blue...... Think that the water is blue...... Though it isn't really, and you see it brown really....... (repeat)
That's a great one to sing in the pool........ ;D

I love reading lyrics. "Even in Death" was very sad, but in a way that made you feel all, I'm not sure, quiet. Those last two about the water and flying and stuff were funny.
I feel like I need to explain why I'm posting this song. It really means a lot to me. All my life, there have been times I felt lonely. Not because I don't have family or anything. I just feel isolated for some reason. I always thought it was just me who felt this way, but then I read this song. So here it is.
Loneliness
When they told you of the Baptist, Of what Herod's men had done, You had to flee into the wilderness To try to ease Your mind, And just to be alone. And I'm certain that You'll meet me here today.
'Cause You walked in lonely places You felt the empty spaces That living in a lonely world can cause. And knowing that You're with me now, And knowing that You care somehow Makes my loneliness just draw me close to You.
In Gethsemane You needed someone to be near, And so you called on Peter, James, and John, Just to have somebody close to You. Even if they were asleep, Even though they never seemed to understand.
That You walk in lonely places You fill the empty spaces That living in a lonely world can cause. And knowing that You're with me now, And knowing that You care somehow Makes my loneliness just draw me close to You.

Here's a good one... it's untitled...it's by AFI..and it bugs Lëo.. We held hands on the last night on earth. Our mouths filled with dust, we kissed in the fields and under trees, screaming like dogs, bleeding dark into the leaves. It was empty on the edge of town but we knew everyone floated along the bottom of the river. So we walked through the waste where the road curved into the sea and the shattered seasons lay, and the bitter smell of burning was on you like a disease. In our cancer of passion you said, " Death is a midnight runner." The sky had come crashing down like the news of an intimate suicide. We picked up the shards and formed them into shapes of stars that wore like an antique wedding dress. The echoes of the past broke the hearts of the unborn as the ferris wheel silently slowed to a stop. The few insects skittered away in hopes of a better pastime. I kissed you at the apex of the maelstrom and asked if you would accompany me in a quick fall, but you made me realize that my ticket wasn't for two. I rode alone. You said, "The cinders are falling like snow." There is poetry in despair, and we sang with unrivaled beauty, bitter elegies of savagery and eloquence. Of blue and grey. Strange, we ran down desperate streets and carved our names in the flesh of the city. The sun was stagnated somewhere beyond the rim of the horizon and the darkness is a mystery of curves and lines. Still, we lay under the emptiness and drifted slowly outward, and somewhere in the wilderness we found salvation scratched into the earth like a message

Gah! I was just going to post that!! And it is rather creepy, though in an awesomely spiffy way. I have been thwarted, so ye get more AFI lyrics. Hah!
Dancing Through Sunday-
Will you join me in this dance, this dance of misery Cradled in imposs... impossibility? Swooning, I am swept away Swept off my feet, with step by step by step We take the lead as drop by drop, then we bleed Oh, we dance in misery (And we dance on, and we dance on) Oh, we dance in misery (All lost in the arms of our misery, oh) Oh, we dance in misery (And we dance on, and we dance on) Swept off our feet by our misery, we're swept into the shadows
Will you lend yourself to beauty that will horrify? Let me hide within your black, the still inside your eyes Deafened, caught within a cry So sensual, as step by step by step, I seperate As breath to breath, as I... suffocate
(Oh, we dance in misery) And we dance on, and we dance on (Oh, we dance in misery) All lost in the arms of our misery, oh (Oh, we dance in misery) And we dance on, and we dance on Swept off our feet by our misery, we're swept into the shadows
So who will follow? Who is the lead? I know I'll leave a stain, because I bleed As we dance, we all dance We all... have no chance in this horrid romance
(Oh, we dance in misery) And we dance on, and we dance on (Oh, we dance in misery) All lost in the arms of our misery, oh (Oh, we dance in misery) And we dance on, and we dance on Swept off our feet by our misery, we're swept into the shadows Swept off our feet by our misery, we're swept into the shadows
~ I love that song. ^^

Well, it's... depressing. To me. Here's a song I really like... Don't blame me if it's a little rough.. It's from memory. More -Jeremy CampTake a look at the dessert Do you feel like a grain of sand I am with you wherever And where you are is where I am I'm always thinking of you Take a look around you I'm spelling it out one by one
I love you more Than the sun Or the stars That I taught How to shine You are mine And you shine for us too I love you Yesterday And today And tomorrow I'll say it again And again I love you moreAnd that's all I can remember.

I love this song, particularly as it includes my name... albeit misspelled.
Dido - Isobel
I thought it was funny when you missed the train When I rang you at home they said you left yesterday I thought it was strange when your car was found by the tree in Ennis where we used to hang around Dear Isobel I hope you're well and what you've done is right Oh it's been such hell I wish you well and hope you're safe tonight
It's been a long day coming and long will it last when it's last day leaving, and I'm helping it pass by loving you more
And who he would become, all the things he'd have done would he have loved you, and not let you down and would he be stronger than his father don't punish yourself, leave it well alone
Dear Isobel I hope you're well and what you've done is right Oh it's been such hell I wish you well and hope your safe tonight
It's been a long day coming and long will it last when it's last day leaving, and I'm helping it pass by loving you more

Wow..... that's a very depressing song, GOTO. A nice song, but a very depressing song. So was Mip's- depressing and dark, but still kind of lofty, in an odd sort of way. I really liked Dancing Through Sunday, though. Love it! I think I may have heard it before....... And Arwen, you're definately not alone. About the loneliness, that is. I'm that way, too. Nice song, as well. And now, for your reading pleasure, another song by Daniel Keefe, co-authored by Andrew Lofton, and sort of by me, too. I think. Anyway, we used to sing it all the time, it's the greatest song, and I think you'll like it. I refer to it every so often, so now you know what I'm talking about. It's about a rock band called Aggravating Budapest. I'm not quite sure how it started, that was a conversation I only heard part of, but it had something to do with someone talking about Budapest being aggravating, and how that would be a good name for a band. Ironically enough, one of our good friends, Sid, later moved to Budapest..... and it was aggravating. Aggravating BudapestAggravating Budapest always steals your quiet rest. Aggravating Budapest even steals your purple vest. Aggravating Budapest makes lots of horrid noise and filled with naughty boys who always break your toys. Aggravating Budapest- nothing but a curse. Aggravating Budapest- couldn't get much worse. Aggravating Budapest, Aggravating Budapest, the worst thing ever seen, the worst thing ever seen, the worst thing ever seen....... In this U- ni- verse! (repeat) Okay, so maybe I didn't write it out so well, but I really like that song.

Cute! =D
I guess so, yeah, but I like it... This song is considered a bit goopy, but I really like it anyway.
David Corey - Best Friend in the World
Everybody needs a best friend in this world We all need one good thing in this cruel cruel world That we can count on all of our lives You sounded so alone last night and I could not help but cry I wanted to reach out to you and just make everything all right I wish that I could show you just how much I truly care All my life I promise to be there
I would be your best friend in the world I would be the one true thing in this untrue world And I will hold you all through the night I will be the best friend to you girl You can tell me all those things that you can’t tell the world And I will listen all through the night
I would’ve given anything just to wipe all your tears away I would’ve walked for miles and miles all you had to do was say If you needed me by morning light, know that I’m on my way Cause all my life I promise to be there
Cause I would be your best friend in the world I would be the one good thing in this cruel cruel world That you can count on all of your life I will be the best friend to you girl You can show me all those things that you hide from the world And I will be here for the rest of your life
When life’s hard to understand I’m gonna reach out my hand to you Hold on and you’ll see how much I care
Cause everybody needs a best friend in this world We all need one good thing in this cruel cruel world That we can count on all of our lives
Cause I wanna be the best friend in the world I wanna be the one true thing in this untrue world Yes I will hold you all through the night I wanna be the best friend to you girl Can I be the one good thing in this cruel cruel world
Yes I will be here for the rest of your life
I wanna be your best friend, would you be my best friend I wanna be your best friend in the world, for all of your life
-Menelien
Edit: Just because I'm nice and considerate (psh, yeah right) instead of making a new post I'm putting this song into this one too.
Audioslave - What You Are
And when you wanted me I came to you And when you wanted someone else I withdrew And when you asked for light I set myself on fire And if I go far away I know You'll find another slave
(chorus) Cause now I'm free from what you want Now I'm free from what you need Now I'm free from what you are
And when you wanted blood I cut my veins And when you wanted love I bled myself again Now that I've had my fill of you I'll give you up forever And here I go far away I know you you'll find another slave
(chorus) Cause now I'm free from what you want Now I'm free from what you need Now I'm free from what you are
Then a vision came to me When you came along I gave you everything But then you wanted more

My favourite artist is Cat Stevens. I think I mentioned him earlier? Well, here's some lyrics of his that I find the most touching.
Where do the Children Play
Well I think it's fine, building jumbo planes. Or taking a ride on a cosmic train. Switch on summer from a slot machine. Yes, get what you want to if you want, 'cause you can get anything.
I know we've come a long way, We're changing day to day, But tell me, where do the children play?
Well you roll on roads over fresh green grass. For your lorry loads pumping petrol gas. And you make them long, and you make them tough. But they just go on and on, and it seems that you can't get off.
Oh, I know we've come a long way, We're changing day to day, But tell me, where do the children play?
Well you've cracked the sky, scrapers fill the air. But will you keep on building higher 'til there's no more room up there? Will you make us laugh, will you make us cry? Will you tell us when to live, will you tell us when to die?
I know we've come a long way, We're changing day to day, But tell me, where do the children play?
Peace Train Lyrics
Now I've been happy lately, thinking about the good things to come And I believe it could be, something good has begun
Oh I've been smiling lately, dreaming about the world as one And I believe it could be, some day it's going to come
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again
Now I've been smiling lately, thinking about the good things to come And I believe it could be, something good has begun
Oh peace train sounding louder Glide on the peace train Come on now peace train Yes, peace train holy roller
Everyone jump upon the peace train Come on now peace train
Get your bags together, go bring your good friends too Cause it's getting nearer, it soon will be with you
Now come and join the living, it's not so far from you And it's getting nearer, soon it will all be true
Now I've been crying lately, thinking about the world as it is Why must we go on hating, why can't we live in bliss
Cause out on the edge of darkness, there rides a peace train Oh peace train take this country, come take me home again
