What was your favourite place in movie ME? How well do you think they portrayed the different realms? Did you think that any of them were portrayed unjustly?
A few to start off with, Rivendell, Lothlorien, Moria, the Shire. You get the picture.

my favourite place...hmm, all of them! ;D ;D I don't really think any of them were portrayed unjustly... how could one do something like that in so grand a place as New Zealand?! I look forward to Mordor though. As I was re-reading RoTK, I went over the details and descriptions of Mordor, and I can't wait to see how PJ decided to portray it.

Personaly I thought that Lothlorien was a bit too blue. It is supposed to be the Golden Wood after all. I really wanted it to be a bit more autumn-ish but it kind of struck me as a little winter-ish if you understand me.

hmm, yes you do make a good point there. I suppose the blue-ishness was supposed to add a wonder and mystery to the place?

I thought that might be it too. What about Nenya? Do you think that since she(Galadriel) had the ring of water, it gave that essence of water to the wood realm? They could have been trying to make to mood a little sadder though, because of Gandalf and all. That is really the only realm I thought they misinterpreted though.
Anyone else?

I have been thinking of this, and having recently re-read the trilogy, I seem to recall that it was winter when the Fellowship came upon Lothlórien. Also, didn't Legover- er, Legolas say something about wishing it were spring and about the way Lórien looks in the spring? Perhaps PJ wanted to bring out that it was supposed to be winter. Just a theory...

My favourite place in the movies is the very begining of TTT when the hobbitses are climbing amongst the rockses.

I really like the hill that Legolas stood on to shoot orcs when they were traveling to helms deep. That was a Spiffy hill. ;D I want to go there and stand on it.

The rockses, hmmmmm.... The hill.... Okey-dokey then! Although if Legolas was there... I've been wondering what the wedding will look like.... I hope it's good! ;D Namarie, Ara

I was being serious! I mean as, serious as I can be. Yeah, get married on top of a hill. I had a sister that got married on top of a mountian. Had a beautiful view. Anyway, I liked the hill. But if I couldn't go there, I would just prefer to go hang around the Shire.
